Iesha Brooks

Iesha Brooks, J.D. is an experienced legal professional currently serving on the Board of Commissioners for The Housing Authority of the City of Montgomery since June 2021. In addition to this role, Iesha has been an Investigator with Indigent Defense since October 2019 and is completing a Legal Internship at Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law’s Elder Law Clinic. Iesha has demonstrated leadership abilities as the First Policy Committee Chair and Policy Committee Member on the Mayor’s Young Professional Council and has contributed as a Montgomery Fellow at the Center for Community Progress. Prior experience includes serving as a Legislative Fellow for the Alabama House Democratic Caucus, President of the Chisholm PTA, and various volunteer roles, including with the Equal Justice Initiative. Iesha holds a Doctor of Law degree from Faulkner University, expected in 2024, and an undergraduate degree from Alabama State University.
