Jason Pounds has extensive work experience in compliance and management roles in the healthcare industry. Jason is currently serving as the Compliance Director (Compliance & Privacy Officer) at The HSC Health Care System (HSCSN) since 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Compliance Director at The HSC Health Care System starting from 2018 and also worked as a Compliance Manager in the same organization.

Before joining The HSC Health Care System, Jason worked at Inova Health System as a Senior Compliance Manager from 2007 to 2018. In this role, they conducted compliance audits and implemented new techniques to streamline processes. Jason received recognition for their engaging and informative Compliance & Ethics training.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked as a Practice Manager at Capital Area Pediatrics - Vienna from 2006 to 2007, where they oversaw a practice remodel project and managed a staff of 30 employees. Jason also gained experience as a Supervisor and Project Analyst at New York Presbyterian Hospital from 2002 to 2006. In these positions, they led teams, implemented process improvements, and prepared staff for inspections and audits.

Jason Pounds, CHC, CHPC, completed their education at Hampton University from 1998 to 2002. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
