Sonya Kashyap

Sonya Kashyap is a highly experienced reproductive endocrinologist and infertility physician, currently serving as a Fertility Contributor for HuffPost since 2014. In academia, Sonya holds the position of Assistant Professor at The University of British Columbia and directs the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Graduate Fellowship Program. Additionally, Sonya has contributed to Spring Fertility as a Physician and Medical Director from May 2020 to 2024 and served as Medical Director at Genesis Fertility Centre from 2013 to 2023, where the clinic has become a trusted provider of fertility services in Vancouver, British Columbia. With a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology, Sonya has held academic positions at UCSF Medical Center and the University of Ottawa. Sonya's research and professional contributions include receiving multiple awards and grants related to fertility and gender health. Sonya's education includes an MD from the University of Ottawa, an MSc in Epidemiology, and a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Queen's University.
