Taryn Finley is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in reporting and editing, particularly focused on Black culture and issues. Since June 2015, Taryn has served as the Senior Culture Reporter and Black Voices Editor at HuffPost, where responsibilities include pitching, reporting, and writing in-depth features and enterprise stories, alongside producing original video content. Previous positions include Associate Editor and Editorial Fellow at HuffPost, as well as roles at The Root, Afro-American Newspaper, Essence Magazine, and NBCUniversal, among others. Taryn holds a Master's of Science in Digital Media, Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications, Journalism from Howard University.
