Axel Torres

Axel Torres is an accomplished culinary professional with extensive experience in high-end dining and resort operations. Currently serving as the Senior Executive Chef at The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort in Vail since November 2022, Axel leads a talented culinary team and specializes in alpine and seasonal cuisine. Prior to this role, Axel honed skills as the Resort Executive Sous Chef at Grand Hyatt Vail from April 2017 to October 2022, directing culinary operations and developing innovative menus. With additional experience in various taskforce and leadership roles, including positions at Hyatt Regency, Park Hyatt Aviara, The Ritz-Carlton, and Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Axel has consistently demonstrated expertise in both fine dining and banquet service. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Culinary Science from Universidad Del Este and ongoing culinary training at Rouxbe Online Culinary School.
