Adrian Banu

Adrian Banu has a solid background in performance testing and engineering. Adrian has worked as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at THE ICONIC since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Site Reliability Engineer at Zip Co from 2021 to 2022. Adrian also has experience as a Senior Performance Engineer at WooliesX from 2020 to 2021.

In 2017, Adrian joined Qantas where they worked as a Performance Test Consultant for their Loyalty program. Adrian was involved in all performance test phases, including planning, scripting, execution, analysis, and reporting. Adrian created test scripts and scenarios using JMeter. Adrian also served as a Performance Test Consultant for the Clinical Excellence Commission and NSW Education Standards Authority in the same year.

Before joining Qantas, Adrian worked as a Performance Test Consultant at NBN Co Limited from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they held the position of Technical Lead at TestPro in 2013 and served as a Senior Performance Engineer at Ecetera from 2008 to 2013.

Adrian Banu has a diverse education history. In 2019, they completed a short course in PenTesting at Charles Sturt University, focusing on computer and information systems security and information assurance.

In 2002, Adrian obtained their Master's Degree in Computer Science from Transilvania University of Brasov. Before that, from 1996 to 2001, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Systems and Computer Science at the same institution.

Apart from their formal education, Adrian has also acquired several certifications. In 2019, they completed a Machine Learning course offered by Coursera. In 2013, they received certification for "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" from Coursera as well. Adrian's certification list also includes the "MACS CP - Member ACS Certified Professional" from the Australian Computer Society, earned in 2009, and the SilkPerformer Certification from Borland/Microfocus, achieved in 2008.
