Jen Malia, Ph.D., is a distinguished Professor of English and Creative Writing Coordinator at Norfolk State University, with an extensive academic career spanning from Assistant Professor to Professor since August 2013. Malia is an accomplished author represented by Naomi Davis at BookEnds Literary Agency and has published children's literature, including the chapter book series "THE INFINITY RAINBOW CLUB" through 1517 Media and the picture book "TOO STICKY! Sensory Issues with Autism" via Albert Whitman & Company. Additionally, Malia contributes as a freelance writer for prominent publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Glamour. Malia holds a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Southern California, along with multiple master's degrees from the same institution and a bachelor's degree in English from Bowdoin College. Currently, Malia is pursuing an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
