Michael Istre has extensive experience in the natural gas and clean energy industry, currently serving as the Director of Research and Project Management at The INGAA Foundation, Inc. In this role, Michael leads research initiatives and strategic agendas to address industry challenges. With a background in engineering and project management, Michael has previously worked as the Chief Engineer at Project Consulting Services, Inc. and as the Principal Engineer at DeepWater Engineering. Michael holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - CAD/CAM from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Membership in the INGAA Foundation is open to natural gas pipelines and companies that provide goods and services to natural gas transmission pipelines. Today, the INGAA Foundation has more than 200 member companies representing natural gas pipeline companies, construction companies, engineering firms, pipe and compressor manufacturers, accounting firms, companies providing information technology services and other suppliers of goods and services to the pipeline industry.
