Katie Bierlein Lmsw

Katie Bierlein LMSW, MPH has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Case Manager at the Center for Work Education and Employment (CWEE) in 2011. Katie then worked as a Case Manager at Housing Solutions USA in 2012 and as a Program Coordinator at Global Potential in 2014. In 2014, they also served as an Academic Coach for the International Rescue Committee.

Katie's experience in the public health field began in 2013 when they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Office of Global Services, New York University. In 2015, they conducted research as a Research Assistant at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, and also worked on a project for UNICEF.

From 2016 onward, Katie held various positions at The Institute for Family Health, including Care Management Coordinator and Director of Care Management. Their most recent role at the Institute was as the Regional Director of Social Support Services.

Katie also contributed their skills and expertise to organizations such as CapraCare and the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction as a Secretary and a member of the Young Professional Advisory Board, respectively.

Throughout their career, Katie has demonstrated a commitment to improving population health and care management services for medically underserved populations. Katie has also contributed to research, policy development, and community service in various capacities.

Katie Bierlein LMSW, MPH earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Biomedical Studies from St. Olaf College in 2007. Katie then went on to obtain a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a focus on International Social Work and Clinical Practice from NYU Silver School of Social Work in 2016. At the same time, they also earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Global Health Leadership from NYU College of Global Public Health. Katie also possesses a SCUBA certification, although further details are unavailable.
