Matthew Beyrouty has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Matthew currently serves as the Administrative Director of the Department for Family Medicine and Community Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior to this, Matthew worked at NYU Langone Medical Center, where they held various roles including Research Coordinator and Research Assistant. Matthew also worked at the Institute for Family Health as a Research Manager. Matthew's earlier experiences include working as a Spanish Medical Interpreter at Wishard Health Services, a Project Associate at New York University, and serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in both leadership and general volunteer roles. Matthew also worked as a Research Assistant at Purdue University and as an Intern at USAID. Overall, Matthew has gained extensive experience in research, program management, and community development.
Matthew Beyrouty completed their education with a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Health Policy Analysis from New York University, which they pursued from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science from Purdue University, studying from 2003 to 2007. Matthew also has additional certifications, including being a Trainer of Brief Action Planning and Motivational Interviewing Skills from The Centre for Collaboration, Motivation, and Innovation in 2014, and having superior fluency in Spanish from the Peace Corps in 2010.
