Kartik Sakthivel

Kartik Sakthivel, Ph.D., is a senior leader in the technology sector with extensive experience in overseeing IT operations and strategic initiatives. Currently serving as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at LIMRA since September 2017, Kartik is responsible for the global IT division of a leading insurance industry trade association operating in over 70 countries. Alongside this role, Kartik participates on the Advisory Board of The Institutes RiskStream Collaborative. Previous positions include Director of Technology at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Software Development Manager at FairPoint Communications, where leadership of geographically distributed teams and technology portfolios was a focus. An accomplished academic, Kartik holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences, an MBA, and multiple degrees in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
