Brian Timmerman

Brian Timmerman is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in directing and managing learning initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of Education at The Institutes since April 2022, Brian previously held various leadership roles at Walden University from February 2007 to November 2021, including Learning Director and Learning Director for Academic Skills. In these capacities, Brian developed professional development strategies for adult learners, oversaw a fully remote team of 50 learning professionals, and established the Academic Skills Center. Early in the career, Brian contributed as a Professor of English at the University of St. Thomas, focusing on literature and composition. Brian holds a Master's Degree in English Literature and Composition from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Minnesota Morris.
