Pat Marsh has been with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) since November 1993, currently serving as Head of Governance, where responsibilities include managing a comprehensive redraft of the Institution's Royal Charter and governance framework to support the ICE’s vision for 2025. Previous roles at ICE include Governance Manager and Council Officer, where Pat coordinated governance activities for the Institution's leadership, and Secretariat for the Network & Events Knowledge Output Panel, focusing on the development of a global network for civil engineering events. As Associated Societies Manager, Pat effectively led a team to support the delivery of services to associated societies in alignment with the ICE’s Knowledge Transfer strategy. Prior to ICE, Pat was an Overseas Administrator for the Medical Protection Society from October 1986 to October 1993, ensuring proper communication with international offices. Pat is educated in bookkeeping, shorthand, and typing from Sight & Sound Secretarial College.
