Matthew Gutierrez

Matthew Gutierrez is a writer and editor with experience reporting for The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. A native of Princeton, New Jersey, he graduated with degrees in journalism and finance from Syracuse University. He’s written about interesting people ranging from a bartender who works 50-hour weeks to run a school in Nicaragua to students at a Harlem Lacrosse program to a Native American lacrosse stick maker. He enjoys spending time outside, reading, writing, visiting national parks, and enjoying good food and conversation.
