Charles Fields

Charles Fields has a diverse work experience in the philanthropy sector. Charles served as the Vice President of Program Implementation at The James Irvine Foundation from 2019 to the present. Prior to that, they were the Chief of Staff at the same foundation from 2016 to 2019. Fields also worked at The California Endowment as a Senior Program Officer from 2009 to 2016. Before that, they held the role of Program Officer at Marguerite Casey Foundation from 2006 to 2009. Charles began their career at the San Francisco Foundation, where they held various roles including West Oakland Initiative Coordinator and Neighborhood and Community Development Fellow from 2002 to 2006.

Charles Fields attended Xavier University from 1992 to 1996, majoring in Organizational Communications. Charles then pursued a Masters degree in Education at Xavier University from 1996 to 1998.
