Chief Investment Officer And Treasurer at The James Irvine Foundation

Tim Recker started their work experience in 1995 as a Portfolio Manager at GE Capital. Tim then became the Director of Alternative Investments at Michigan Retirement System from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they worked as the Managing Director of Private Equity and Real Assets at University of California Regents from 2007 to 2016. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Board Member at Duff & Phelps Corporation. Since 2016, they have been the Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer at The James Irvine Foundation, where they lead the investment team overseeing a $2+ billion global investment portfolio. Additionally, they have also served as the Director and former Chairperson for the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) from September 2006 to September 2012.

Tim Recker has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Economics from Bellarmine University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. Tim then completed the GE Financial Management Program from 1995 to 1997. In 1999, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they completed in 2001. Additionally, Tim Recker earned a certificate from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2004.
