Melissa earned their doctorate, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), from Loyola University Chicago, specializing in healthcare informatics. This educational achievement occurred between the years 2016 and 2018. Prior to their DNP, Melissa obtained a Master of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago from 2001 to 2004, with a concentration in nursing informatics. Their undergraduate studies took place at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) between the years 1994 and 1999.
