Vivian Chang Freiheit

Visiting Artist, Curriculum Consultant, Administrative Assistant | Juilliard K-12 Department at The Juilliard School

Vivian Chang Freiheit is a distinguished musician and educator with extensive experience in piano performance and music education. Since January 2017, Vivian serves as Piano Lead for the Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard and has been the Founder and Director of Vivian Chang Studios since April 2005. Current roles also include Visiting Artist and Curriculum Consultant for the Juilliard K-12 Department since February 2019, and Pianist with the Chameleon Arts Ensemble and MOTYL Chamber Ensemble. Notably, Vivian was Artist in Residence at Monteverdi Tuscany, collaborating with NY Met Opera musicians. Vivian has a strong background in educational outreach, having developed programs for special needs students at the Levine School of Music and Pleasantville Community Synagogue. Vivian holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts and a Master of Music from The Juilliard School, as well as a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin College.
