Derek Sims has extensive experience in customer service and advocacy roles, currently serving as a Survivor Services Advocate and Triage and Intake Specialist at The Julian Center since July 2020. Previous experience includes working as a Food Server at Wolfie's Northern Grill, where Derek gained valuable skills in teamwork and customer engagement after obtaining server and alcohol service certifications from the State of Indiana. Derek also worked as a Customer Service Clerk at Needler's Fresh Market, managing the front end of the store and assisting customers, and as a Parking Attendant at Live Nation Entertainment, facilitating parking during events. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Butler University.
