Alma Paz

Alma Paz is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various financial leadership roles across multiple tribal organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for The Karuk Tribe since April 2024, Alma previously held positions in client accounting and advisory services at REDW and as Director of Finance for the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians. Alma's background includes leadership roles such as Controller at Cahuilla Casino Hotel and the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians, as well as Controller for the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians for over a decade. Alma's responsibilities have encompassed financial reporting, budget management, external audits, and oversight of accounting functions. Alma is pursuing further education at California State University San Marcos while holding an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Palomar College.
