Sumit Chakraborty

Sumit Chakraborty is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in the media industry, currently serving as the Head of Desk at The Ken since June 2022. In this role, Sumit collaborates with multiple Desk Editors and Reporters across India and Southeast Asia to craft impactful business stories, oversees the editorial process, and ensures high standards of reporting and storytelling. Previously, Sumit held various positions, including Deputy Head of Desk and Desk Editor at LiveMint, and Copyeditor at Times of India, where responsibilities encompassed managing editorial teams, editing content across multiple domains, and driving the production of quality newspaper content. A graduate of the Asian College of Journalism, with a B.Tech in Computer Engineering, Sumit has a proven track record of enhancing content quality and engaging readers through innovative storytelling and strategic planning.
