Jim Fenner has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Jim began their career as a Technical Help Desk at an undisclosed company in October 2003. From there, they quickly progressed to various roles within the company, including Director of Operations & Supplier Management, where they introduced Lean Manufacturing practices and managed a team of 40+. In 2012, they transitioned into the role of Director of Customer Care & Professional Services, where they built and managed a team of engineers and worked on improving migration processes. In 2018, they founded and led the Professional Services Program Management Office (PMO), introducing KPIs and PRINCE2 methodology. In 2020, Jim joined Microsoft following their acquisition of Metaswitch, where they held the position of Senior Technical Program Manager, leading a team of Program/Project Managers and overseeing IT and Business Transformation projects. Jim was later promoted to Head of IT and Systems at The Key Support Services in June 2023.

Jim Fenner attended Tonbridge School from 1994 to 1999, where they completed their A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Further Maths. Jim then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at UCL from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Jim has obtained several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute in March 2023, and the Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in December 2022 and September 2022 respectively.
