Barbara Valentine is an accomplished marketing professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as Senior Manager of Marketing & Promotions and Executive Producer of Kidney PLUGGED IN at The Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC & Yukon Branch since October 2014. In this role, Barbara oversees marketing campaigns, manages budgets, and coordinates media relations while providing leadership to staff and volunteers. Previous positions at the foundation include Manager of Volunteer, Chapter, Member Engagement and Manager of Community Initiatives, with a focus on event planning and volunteer management. Barbara's career also includes a notable tenure as Entertainment Director/Choreographer for NFL Europe, where responsibilities encompassed marketing and community relations for a new football franchise. Academically, Barbara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Arts from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Thompson Rivers University.
