The Land Institute
Madeline DuBois is an experienced Soil Ecology Technician at The Land Institute since September 2020, with a strong background in environmental research and engineering. Prior to this role, Madeline served as a Research Assistant at Northeastern University, contributing to projects centered on optimizing tidal flow wetland systems for wastewater treatment. As a Natural Systems Agriculture Intern at The Land Institute, investigations into hydraulic redistribution in polycultures and the ecological benefits of perennial crops were led. Additional internship experience includes work with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, where research focused on lizard adaptation to climate change, and an Engineering Co-op position at Environmental Partners Group, Inc., involving the design of water distribution systems. Madeline holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University, complemented by hands-on experience in facility maintenance with Fiver Children's Foundation.
