Dodd Terry

Dodd Terry serves as Attorney in Charge at The Legal Aid Society of NYC since May 2008, where significant contributions include co-developing performance-based tracking systems to enhance court efficiency, collaborating with agencies to implement structured decision-making tools for juvenile justice, and architecting litigation strategies that resulted in reducing out-of-home placements. Responsibilities encompass managing an 85-member staff and overseeing administration for legal representation of over 9,000 clients annually. Previously, Dodd held the role of Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Youth Development at the NYC Administration for Children's Services, where leadership facilitated the restructuring of services for older foster youth. Dodd's legal experience spans from supervising attorney to staff attorney across various positions at The Legal Aid Society since 1998. Dodd Terry earned a JD from New York Law School and a BA from the University of Rochester.
