Luke Millar

Luke Millar is an experienced immigration attorney currently serving as a Detention and Removal Defense Attorney at The Legal Aid Society since January 2024. Prior to this role, Luke worked as an Immigration Staff Attorney at Prisoners' Legal Services of New York from August 2022 to January 2024, and held the position of Student Attorney at the Washington and Lee University Immigrant Rights Clinic from August 2021 to May 2022. Luke's legal background includes serving as Senior Articles Editor for the German Law Journal and interning at the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic. Additionally, Luke gained valuable experience as a Legal Research Intern at the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion, focusing on international law and treaty obligations. Luke earned a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from SUNY Geneseo.
