Vanessa White

EVP, Chief Development Officer at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

As chief development officer, Vanessa White provides strategic direction and leadership for LLS’s advancement activities, including major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. She evaluates the effectiveness of current programs and develops new initiatives to maximize community/corporate/foundation support.

Vanessa has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and health administration with a track record of success. She came to LLS from Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where she served as national vice president of development. Prior to that, she was associate vice president, principal, major, and planned giving and campaign operations for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she closed many transformational philanthropic gifts. Vanessa was also in the office of Development and Alumni Relations for the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Medicine, after holding many other positions at Penn Medicine for almost 10 years.

Vanessa holds a master’s degree in health administration from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from The University of Rhode Island.
