Calista Redmond

CEO, RISC-V Foundation at The Linux Foundation

Calista Redmond has a long history of working with some of the biggest names in tech. Calista started their career at IBM, where they rose to the position of Vice President of the IBM Z Ecosystem. In this role, they were responsible for growing IBM's partnerships and software offerings, as well as cultivating a community of passionate developers and users.

Redmond left IBM in 2016 to become the President of the OpenPOWER Foundation. In this role, they evangelized the mission of the OpenPOWER Foundation, which is to provide an open platform for collaboration between industry leaders in hardware, software, and optimized stack solutions. Calista also worked to connect end users and developers with compelling price-performance opportunities from innovators throughout the OpenPOWER community.

In January 2017, Redmond was elected CEO of the RISC-V Foundation, which is a non-profit corporation that supports the development and proliferation of the free and open RISC-V instruction set architecture. In this role, they are responsible for leading the Foundation's work to promote RISC-V adoption and grow the RISC-V ecosystem.

Their manager is Jim Zemlin, Executive Director. They work with Stephen Hendrick - VP, Research, Michael Dolan - SVP & GM, Projects, and Heather Kirksey - VP, Community & Ecosystem Development.
