Sarah Reape, MPA

President, Regional Strategy & Implementation at The Literacy Lab

Sarah Reape, MPA has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Sarah is currently employed as the Chief Regional Officer at The Literacy Lab, a role they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, Sarah served as the Regional Director at The Literacy Lab from July 2018 to July 2021. Sarah also worked as a Program Manager at the same organization from June 2015 to June 2018.

Before joining The Literacy Lab, Sarah worked at Jumpstart starting in September 2011 as a Site Manager. Sarah held this position until June 2015. Prior to becoming a Site Manager, they served as an Associate Site Manager at Jumpstart from July 2007 to August 2011.

Sarah's earlier work experience includes a role as a Catering and Events Sales Coordinator at the Kansas City Zoo, where they worked from April 2006 to July 2007. Prior to that, they served as a Team Leader/AmeriCorps Member at Jumpstart, University of Missouri-Kansas City from September 2004 to May 2006.

Sarah Reape, MPA obtained a Master of Public Administration degree with a specialization in Nonprofit Management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2008 to 2011. Before that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the same institution from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their academic degrees, Sarah Reape has also obtained several certifications. Sarah received a Professional Certificate in Fund Raising from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership, Henry W. Bloch School of Management in 2011. In 2008, they obtained a National Certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership (CNP) from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Most recently, in February 2022, Sarah completed a course titled "Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing" offered by LinkedIn.
