Mike Weir

Mike Weir is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in various media roles. Currently serving as Deputy Head of Loadstar Premium at The Loadstar since April 2019, Mike also operates LiberalDad.com as Owner and Editor, providing long-form political commentary with a liberal perspective since November 2019. Previous positions include Broadcast Journalist at BBC, where Mike reported for both BBC News Online and BBC Radio Jersey, and implemented the innovative Jersey 360 digital project. Earlier roles involved contributions to Dow Jones as a Columnist and Assistant Editor, editing Lloyd's Loading List at Informa, and internships that enhanced skills in research and economic analysis. Mike holds a BA in History & Politics from the University of Strathclyde and a GDE in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London.
