Adam Bastidas

Adam Bastidas has worked at various companies and held different roles throughout their career. Adam started their career at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007 as an MIT Summer Research Program participant. Adam then worked as an undergraduate student researcher at the University of Arizona from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they joined UC San Diego as a graduate student, where they also served as a graduate teaching assistant for a short period in 2011. After completing their graduate studies in 2014, they worked as a medical writer at Carling Communications (now Fishawack Health) from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, they joined ApotheCom: A Huntsworth Health Company as a medical writer in the scientific services department and was later promoted to senior medical writer. Adam joined Lockwood in 2018 as a senior associate scientific director and gradually moved up the ladder, holding positions such as scientific director, senior scientific director, and senior scientific director team lead. Currently, they are serving as the VP and Group Scientific Director at Lockwood, starting in July 2023.

Adam Bastidas completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry, with a concentration in Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics, from the University of Arizona from 2004 to 2008. Adam then pursued their higher education at UC San Diego where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Sciences from 2008 to 2014.
