Looma is an in-store digital media platform focused on storytelling, education, and recommendations. Their network of in-store screens helps retailers better modernize and monetize their stores, while enabling brands to tell their story directly at the point of decision. All content that airs on Looma’s network is produced or edited by Relay™, their global network of independent filmmakers, editors, and other creators who specialize in point-of-decision content.

Position Description
As a Field Operations Technician, you’ll prepare, install, and maintain Loop™ tablet displays within the stores of our retail partners. This is a part-time role with fluctuating hours, perfect for someone who is seeking flexibility or is working outside of a 9a-5p job structure. 

We’re seeking candidates who are:

  • Self-motivated: Interested in gaining experience with an ad-tech startup 
  • Reliable: Responsive to outbound requests and diligent in adhering to deadlines
  • Organized: Both with physical materials and digital communications
  • Detailed: Particularly in matters of aesthetics, as you’ll be responsible for keeping our Loop™ displays looking their best
  • Joyful: Able to connect with store managers and be courteous to store employees

Responsibilities

  • Tablet preparation, installation, and maintenance
  • Tablet troubleshooting (including in-person reboots, remounting tablets on store shelves, and restoring proper cable management)
  • Signage installation for tablet displays
  • Store audits to ensure peak operating conditions
  • New pilot and program launch assistance
  • Respond to and prioritize urgent maintenance requests
  • Opportunity for network monitoring and providing remote support to other technicians 

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have reliable access to a car and smartphone (for in-store audits); a biweekly mileage stipend will be provided
  • Applicants must be comfortable lifting 20 lbs, climbing a 10-ft ladder, and completing other manual tasks
  • Applicants must be proficient in Google Suite or willing to learn. We regularly use Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Google Sheets

Structure & Compensation

This is a part-time position with a starting rate of $20/hour.
