Robert la Plant

Robert La Plant CISM has a strong background in information technology and security, with various leadership roles throughout their career. Robert currently holds the position of Vice President Information Technology Infrastructure and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ManhattanLife since May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of IT Infrastructure and Security at ManhattanLife from May 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining ManhattanLife, they held the position of Director of Information Technology at Cotton Holdings Inc. from December 2018 to February 2021, reporting directly to the CFO.

From May 2011 to April 2018, Mr. La Plant held the position of Director of Information Technology at Omega Protein, Inc., also reporting to the CFO.

Their career began at Commercial Metals Company in May 2004, where they served as an IT Manager until April 2011.

Robert La Plant CISM graduated from The University of Texas at Austin from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Management and Marketing. In addition to their degree, they also received the Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) certification from ISACA in February 2021.
