Peter Martin

Peter Martin has served at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore since July 2010 as a Zoo Naturalist, collaborating with Maryland Environmental Education partners on projects focused on ecology and conservation, while enhancing educational programming in the Maryland Wilderness Area. Previously, Martin held the role of Public Programs Manager, where development of the Adult Public Programs Support Volunteer program earned the Zoo's Volunteer Choice Award in 2013, and revitalization of on-ground puppet shows included musical additions and original content. From September 2001 to 2010, Martin was the School Programs Manager, leading educational initiatives for school groups and managing grants for free admissions for Maryland students. Peter Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont, with studies spanning from 1980 to the present.
