Deborah Hopson

Deborah Hopson is a Senior Public Health Scientist at The MayaTech Corporation, where responsibilities include guiding health-related projects focused on infectious and chronic disease prevention, family planning, health workforce development, and public health legislation and policy. Additionally, Deborah is developing a new Center for Public Health Systems Innovation. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Health Advisor at the Health Resources and Services Administration from February 2013 to July 2018 and as Associate Administrator for HIV/AIDS from January 2002 to February 2013. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Health from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Science in Public Health with a focus on Health Policy and Administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy and Management, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
