John Ewing

John Ewing has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. John is currently the Managing Director of Software Engineering at The McAlear Group, Inc. since August 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at IntelliShop from August 2018 to August 2021.

Before joining IntelliShop, John worked at Hanson Inc. from January 2006 to August 2018, where they held the positions of Managing Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering. John was responsible for managing engineering teams and overseeing their operations.

Prior to Hanson Inc., John worked at Berbee as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2004 to December 2005. John worked as a consultant in Java, WebSphere, and web development for multiple clients in the insurance and retail industries.

Before their time at Berbee, John served as a Software Engineer at KeyCorp from 2000 to 2004. At KeyCorp, they gained valuable experience in software development.

John started their career as a Software Engineer at the Medical College of Ohio (CCI) from August 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they worked at the National Steel Corporation as a Software Engineer from January 1998 to May 1998.
