Nicole Benson has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatry and medical informatics. Nicole started their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from 2009 to 2010. Nicole then joined Massachusetts General Hospital in 2014 as a Psychiatry Resident, later becoming a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they also started working as a Research Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at McLean Hospital. Additionally, in the same year, they became a Fellow in Clinical Informatics and Innovation at Mass General Brigham. Recently, they have taken on leadership roles as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at McLean Hospital and as the Program Director for System Behavioral Mental Health Digital Solutions at Mass General Brigham.
Nicole Benson has a Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard Medical School, a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from Haverford College. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained certifications including Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Board Certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., as well as a Physician Builder certification from Epic.
