Armen Shaomian, DMA, is an accomplished educator and cultural consultant with extensive experience in the field of music and entertainment management. Currently serving as a Volunteer MLC Educator Ambassador for The Mechanical Licensing Collective since March 2024, Armen also holds the position of Faculty Director at Preston Residential College and Associate Professor of Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina, where contributions to academic and strategic planning are significant. As the Founder and CEO of Armenize, Inc., Armen offers consulting services to various cultural organizations. Previous leadership roles include President of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association and Vice President at the Miami Civic Music Association. Armen holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music from the University of Miami, complementing a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Wayne State University.
