Hannah Actor-Engel

Hannah Actor-Engel, PhD, has extensive experience in neuroscience research and medical writing. Currently a Medical Writer at The Med Writers since April 2023, Hannah previously held roles as a Scientist and PhD Candidate at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from August 2017 to June 2023, focusing on neuronal communication related to learning and memory. Earlier experience includes work as a Junior Research Scientist and Undergraduate Researcher at New York University CNS, investigating anorexia nervosa, and as an Event Coordinator for Pint of Science, promoting neuroscience outreach. Additional roles encompass a Research Intern position at Burke Rehabilitation Center, where a virtual Telehealth system was piloted for stroke rehabilitation, and Project Coordinator for the Not Impossible BrainWriter Event, which raised funds for innovative EEG technology. Hannah holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, along with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from New York University.
