Caroline Shouksmith

Caroline Shouksmith has extensive work experience in the field of information security and compliance. Caroline most recently worked as an Information Security Analyst at the Medical Protection Society starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at PSI Services LLC and Lifelong Learner Holdings from May 2021 to April 2023.

Caroline also has experience in the financial industry, having worked as a Contractor at Santander UK from July 2018 to February 2020. Caroline previously held the role of Information Assurance Specialist at De La Rue from January 2018 to June 2018.

Earlier in their career, Caroline worked as a Regulatory Monitoring Officer at Darlington Building Society from January 2016 to September 2017. Caroline also had various roles at Barclaycard from 2006 to 2015, including Risk & Governance Analyst and Senior Technical Helpdesk Advisor for Online Services.

Before entering the financial industry, Caroline worked as a Senior Customer Support Services Officer at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust from September 2003 to September 2006. Caroline also held positions at Cobalt Design Consultancy and Pacific Gateway Exchange in 2001.

Caroline Shouksmith's education history is as follows:

From 1994 to 1998, Caroline attended Teesside University where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in International Business & Marketing.

Prior to that, from 1992 to 1993, Caroline studied at Harrogate Tutorial College where they completed their High School education, specifically focusing on Psychology A-level.

Before entering college, from 1986 to 1991, Caroline attended Teesside High School where they completed their GCSEs.

In addition to their formal education, Caroline has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they received the OneTrust PIA & DPIA Automation Expert certification and the OneTrust Third-Party Risk Management Expert certification from OneTrust. Caroline also earned the OneTrust Certified GRC Professional certification in the same year. Furthermore, in 2015, Caroline obtained the Lean Competency System - LCS Level 1a Certification. Caroline gained the PRINCE2 Foundation certification in 2012 and the IIA Award in Compliance Audit & Assurance from Compliance Audit & Assurance in the same year. Finally, Caroline completed the Information Technology Qualification – Level 2 NVQ ITQ in 2011.
