Vicky started their career at Irwin Mitchell as a Marketing and Communications Assistant, where they worked for two years. Vicky then joined Aviva UK as a Senior Communications Consultant, progressing to become an Internal Communications Manager. At Aviva, they developed and implemented communication strategies for various audiences across the UK.

After their tenure at Aviva, Vicky joined DePuy Synthes as a Marketing Project Manager on a short-term contract. Their role involved transforming marketing materials to align with new branding and comply with regulatory requirements. Vicky effectively managed relationships with international design agencies and stakeholders.

Next, they joined Yorkshire Building Society Group as an Internal Communications Consultant. Their responsibilities included developing and delivering communication and engagement strategies for large complex projects. Vicky successfully engaged colleagues across multiple office sites and branch networks.

Vicky Bulman's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Wensleydale School in Leyburn. Vicky completed their education there in 1996, earning 9 GCSEs. Following this, from 1997 to 1999, Vicky attended Blackburn College in the UK, where they pursued A levels in Communications, Geography, and Psychology. Vicky then went on to Sheffield Hallam University, where they obtained their BA degree in Communications Studies from 1999 to 2002.
