Julie Leo is an experienced professional in human resources and organisational development, currently serving as the Director of People and Organisational Development at The Mercian Trust since January 2025. Prior to this role, Julie held the position of HR Consultancy Director at Altair Ltd from April 2021 to December 2024 and worked as a Human Resources Consultant at JSL Consultancy for a brief period in 2020. A Multi Academy Trust of nine schools and 10,000 students in Walsall and Sandwell. Often referred to as the most diverse family of schools in the country, the Trust comprises of two selective grammar schools, five large comprehensive schools, a technical and vocational Studio School and an Alternative Provision free school for children at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.
