Toby Buckley

Toby Buckley is a robotics and control engineer who has overseen projects taking robots around the globe and into outer space. He previously was senior robotics and controls engineer for innovative robotics startup OffWorld Inc., leading the software and controls team in development of robotic systems. Toby earned a master’s degree in aeronautics and astronautics from Stanford University, and completed internships at Boeing, where he simulated and analyzed space-launch system vehicle trajectories; at Stanford’s Autonomous Systems Lab, where he helped implement decision-making algorithms for autonomous cars; and at The SpaceShip Company, where he programmed software for the suborbital vehicle SpaceShipTwo.
