Ivan Berkel

Ivan Berkel currently serves as the VP of Continuous Performance Improvement at The MetroHealth System, a position held since May 2023, and also works as a Principal at the same organization since August 2018. Additionally, Ivan has been a Quality Transformation Improvement Advisor for the Virginia Cardiac Services Quality Initiative since September 2017, leading efforts in quality improvement for a national CMS project. Since 2012, Ivan has been a System Director and Senior Consultant for Performance Excellence at Catholic Health Initiatives, contributing to strategic initiatives across multiple states. Previous roles include Division Director Performance Excellence, Process Improvement Manager at Healthpointe, and Senior Performance Improvement Consultant at Florida Hospital. Ivan began a career in pharmaceutical sales at Janssen in 2002. Educational credentials include an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a BA in English Literature from Howard University.
