John L. Wielk has extensive experience in development and fundraising for prestigious cultural institutions. John L. served as the Chief Development Officer for Corporate Engagement at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, overseeing global corporate fundraising efforts. Prior to that, they were the Chief Development Officer at the International Center of Photography, responsible for a range of fundraising initiatives. John L. also served as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hunter College and as the Deputy Director of Corporate and Institutional Development at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Additionally, Wielk has experience as the Director of Development at the Professional Standards Review Council of America, Inc., and as the Associate Director of Development and Membership at The Museum of Modern Art.
John L. Wielk attended Columbia University where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art History, with an additional course of study in Computer Science. John L. also pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Fine Arts at New York University. Prior to this, they completed their high school education at Bronx High School of Science, receiving a diploma with honors.
