Padget Sutherland has a diverse work experience in the art industry. They started their career as an intern at the Spencer Museum of Art in 2014. They then worked as excavation staff at the Athenian Agora Excavations in 2015 and 2017. In 2016, they were a curatorial intern at the Seattle Art Museum. From 2017 to 2019, they held various roles at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, including Assistant Manager for Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art and Assistant for Administration, Modern and Contemporary. In 2019, they pursued a Masters degree at the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London. Recently, in 2020, they joined The Metropolitan Museum of Art again as Associate Manager for Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art.
Padget Sutherland completed a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from Washington and Lee University from 2013 to 2017. Later, in 2019 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Arts in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London.
