Jordan McPherson is an accomplished sports writer with extensive experience in covering collegiate athletics, particularly focused on the University of Florida. Currently serving as a sports writer for the Miami Herald Media Company since December 2017, Jordan previously worked as a Florida Gators sports writer for SEC Country and held the position of UF sports correspondent for the Miami Herald. Jordan has a strong background in reporting, editing, and managing editorial teams, demonstrated through roles as editor-in-chief and sports editor at The Independent Florida Alligator, as well as a correspondent for the Orlando Sentinel and freelance writer for the Associated Press. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida and began the professional journey with an internship at The Cherokee Tribune.
