Joseph Territo

Associate MD, Quality at The Mid-atlantic Permanente Medical Group

Dr. Joseph Territo is associate medical director of quality, documentation and coding, risk management/ patient safety, health engagement, care management programs/ population health, and vision services. He is an expert in healthcare quality, program development, and process improvement. An associate medical director since 2012, he leverages these skills to develop reliable systems that improve patient care and processes to ensure these are appropriately reported.

Under his leadership in the clinical effectiveness of care measures, in 2020 Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States was ranked first in more commercial measures than any other health system and was the only health system in the country to receive NCQA’s highest health plan rating for commercial members the past two consecutive years. He is recognized as a National Quality Leader and represents the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group on several internal and external forums.

Dr. Territo is a pediatric ophthalmologist and practices in Tysons Corner.
