Lisa Orenstein

Deputy General Counsel at The Mid-atlantic Permanente Medical Group

Lisa is responsible for the execution of the day-to-day legal affairs of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. As deputy general counsel, she works to minimize legal risks while advancing business interests. This involves regularly providing legal advice and guidance to senior leaders, the board of directors, and others within the medical group in connection with the organization’s business operations, strategic initiatives, and corporate governance.

Lisa also works closely with the regional council for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, other Permanente chief legal officers, and lawyers from the Permanente Federation, and KFH/KFHP Legal Department to advance the broader interests of the Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States region, Permanente Medicine and the overall Kaiser Permanente program. Lisa obtained her Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was a member and later editor of the Maryland Law Review.
