Asanga Abeyagoonasekera

Asanga Abeyagoonasekera is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and advisory roles across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Senior Fellow and Executive Director SAFN at The Millennium Project, and Technical Advisor at the International Monetary Fund, Asanga also holds positions as Global Advisor at Apolitical Academy, Senior Fellow at the Tennessee Association of Science Department Chairs, and Young Global Leader with The Forum of Young Global Leaders. Additional roles include Senior Advisor at 浙江大学, Country Chair Sri Lanka for Global Dignity, and Founding Curator of the Global Shapers Community in Colombo. Asanga has been active as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Colombo, and previously worked as a Senior Research Consultant for Asia Society. With a robust educational background that includes multiple degrees and leadership modules from prestigious institutions such as Harvard Kennedy School and the University of Oxford, Asanga has demonstrated a commitment to addressing global challenges and fostering future-oriented thinking.
